What Are the Benefits of Golden Milk?

The star ingredient is turmeric, which contains curcumin, a plant compound studied for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Adding a small amount of black pepper is especially useful because piperine, a compound in black pepper, can help increase the absorption of curcumin.

Ginger adds a little heat and has also been studied for its potential digestive and anti-inflammatory benefits, while cinnamon adds natural sweetness and beneficial plant compounds.

Golden milk is also naturally caffeine-free, making it a great alternative when you want something warm without another coffee.

Make It Your Own

Prefer it sweeter? Add a Medjool date, maple syrup or a little honey. Want it creamier? Use coconut milk or add a small spoonful of coconut oil.

Once you have the basic recipe down, it’s easy to adjust the turmeric, ginger and cinnamon until you find your perfect golden milk latte.
